I use UBuntu 14.04 LTS and Nvidia drivers 346.59. I built weston and all
dependencies according to following instructions:
http://wayland.freedesktop.org/building.html When I switch to tty2 and run
weston:
weston-launch -- --westonLog.txt

I get an error log which I attached.

Weston cannot work with the proprietary NVIDIA drivers. These drivers provide a
dummy a DRM device node, which does not support KMS.

You need Nouveau.
